UNDERGLAZE-BLUE QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEALMARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-95)
With rounded sides rising from a tapering foot to a slightly flaring rim, the interior painted with strong blue cobalt in reverse with a five-clawed dragon chasing a flaming pearl within clouds and flames, surrounded by two striding dragons chasing flaming pearls around the well, the exterior painted with two similar dragons above lotus petals around the base
10 in. (25.3 cm.) diam.

Lot Essay

There are two hairline rim cracks measuring approximately 5 cm. and 2.5 cm. long.
