Lot Essay

The daughter of the artist James Watt, Alison Watt was born in 1965 and studied at the Glasgow School of Art. She has won a number of prestigious prizes including the John Player portrait award at the National Portrait Gallery, the City of Glasgow Lord Provost prize and the Scottish Arts Council individual artist's award.
