COTE ROTIE, LES JUMELLES

One of the oldest vineyards in France, developed by the Romans. In the Middle Ages, it is said that Seigneur Maugiron divided up his land between his two daughters, one blond the other brunette, hence the names given to the wines: Côte Brune and Côte Blonde. Extremely steep granite terraces, covered with a layer of siliceous limestone in the Côte Blonde and clay and iron oxide in the Côte Brune. Grape variety Syrah
