Tasting Note: Crisp fruit and peppery at the pre-sale tasting, but quite unready for drinking at dinner the same evening. The following spring: opaque, velvety; nose like cedar pencil, opening up fragrantly; sweet, full, good extract, exciting flavour - 12.5 alcohol noted. In November 1999, beginning to open up; its nose distinctly and characteristically spicy blackcurrant; deliciously crisp flavour and glorious end taste. Last noted March 2001 *(****) M.B.
