Each baluster form, the first applied with a shoe sole and engraved "Two [souls] But With A Single Thought", the reverse with presentation inscription, the second applied with two birds and engraved feather, engraved "[birds] Of a [feather] Flock Together," each with hinged cover, apparently unmarked
