A collection of material relating to The Appaloosa, including:
- two first draft scripts, dated 8 March, 1965, 164pp. of mimeographed typescript, with green paper covers;
- a second draft script, the grey paper covers printed Second Draft Screenplay, Southwest, April 12, 1965, 134pp. of mimeographed typescript, one with a memo stapled to the front cover, on Jay Kanter headed stationery, with typescript message Dear Allen [Susman], Here is the script "The Appaloosa" now tentatively titled "Southwest", JK, 4/30/65;
- a final script, dated 30 September, 1965, 121pp. of mimeographed typescript, the red paper cover printed Cocatlan (Formerly "Southwest");
- a typescript letter from Alan J. Miller to Marlon Brando, signed, on Universal Pictures Company Inc. headed stationery, dated 17 May, 1965, enclosing ...revised script pages on THE APPALOOSA (SOUTHWEST)... 1p.;
- a typescript letter on Pennebaker Inc, Universal Studios... headed stationery, to Marlon Brando, dated 2 May, 1966, the letter asking Brando to report to Universal Studios to complete looping and dubbing services on The Appaloosa in accordance with his contract of employment, 2pp.;
- two colour front of house stills, both -- 8x10in. (20.3x25.4cm.); - and approximately 8 black and white stills of Brando as Matt Fletcher, all -- 10x8in. (25.4x20.3cm.); and related material (a lot)
