Of baluster form, the finial formed as Zeus brandishing his sword as he rides his eagle into combat, the shoulder flanked by handles formed as either a warrior raising his sword aloft attended by a putto, or as a ribbon-tied War trophy, the body moulded in relief with a battle scene, the reverse with a cartouche centering the motto DIEU ET MON DROIT, on conforming foot applied with a shackled slave
