A good Victorian lacquered-brass compound binocular microscope,
R. & J. BECK LONDON & PHILADELPHIA; late 19th Century
the body-tube with rack and pinion adjustment to the eyepieces and Nicol prism and double nose-piece, attached to the mainlimb via arm and with rack-and-pinion and micrometer fine screw adjustment, with mechanical stage, the substage with revolving diaphragm disc and concave mirror, the triangular base with six aperatures for positioning of the microscope with the most extreme being horizontal, with bull's-eye condensor, parabolic condensor and other accessories, contained in fitted mahogany case
