With a frieze drawer above six short drawers, and a pen tray drawer to the side, on bracket feet, adapted with later elements, stamped 'James Winter, 101 Wardour St.'

Lot Essay
James Winter was a retailer of furniture who founded his business at 107 Wardour Street in 1823. The business survived until 1870, when it was operating from 151, 153 and 155 Wardour Street.
