With four concentric hour scales for 52, 49, 46 and 43° latitudes, hinged latitude arc graduated 40-60° with foliate decoration and bird index pointer, the compass basin initialled and delineated for sixteen points of compass and with blued-steel needle, the reverse with table of latitudes for European cities and support foot, in original fishskin-covered, plush-lined case
