the going-barrel movement and (part de-feathered) multi-coloured plumage bird, in unusual case with side, rear, front and top panels of enamel decorated with birds set on a background of flowers and ribbons in tones of mauve, white, yellow and blue on a turquiose ground, the plain lid with a view of a courting couple with dog on deep blue ground (chip), set in system-cast gilt brass frame with each part dot-stamped, top ball finials and squat bun feet also decorated in enamel, with a travelling case bearing the retailer's name J(?)ennet Frerés Sucrs, Hong Kong - Shanghai, with key -5in.
