Rectangular box formed as a book, the cover and base with octagonal guilloché cartouches decorated with engine-turning forming a scalework pattern simulating reptile's skin against a sablé ground chased with two-colour gold and platinum foliate and scroll border, the spine chased in vari-colour gold and platinum with flowers, cornucopiæ, trophies, a lute and foliage separated with fluted bands against a sablé ground
