Lot Essay

The sitter is possibly Ferdinand Albrecht II (1680-1735), Duke of Brunswick-Bevern, only surviving son of Ferdinand Albrecht I and who married in 1712 Antoinette Amalie of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel.
