A brown and grey jade carving of a horse, 17th Century
carved recumbent within the natural pebble form, the finely featured head turned to the left touching its rear haunch with its nose, the tail swept across its left flank and the legs tucked under its body, the tail and mane well incised simulating the hair, the body mostly of grey-white tone with brown streaks, with the right hind flank, tail and underside of brown tone -- 2 5/16in. (5.8cm.) across.
