A russet celadon jade chimera plaque, Song Ming dynasty
the recumbent winged mythical beast carved in low relief on one side, unusually comprising a ram's head, with the wings sprouting from a lingzhi fungus sprig with another coiled around the rear haunch, pierced for suspension, the stone of warm amber-russet and yellowish-celadon tone -- 3in. (7.6cm.) across.
