AN EXPORT PAINTING, 19TH CENTURY
oil on canvas, depicting a junk caught in a storm, the ill-fated boat being thrashed by swelling waves towards a rocky coastline, numerous sailors on the shore desparately trying to save the junk's cargo, some crates already saved, others being pulled out of the waves by ropes -- 10¼in.x 13½in. (26cm. x 34.3cm.), glazed and set in a gilt wood frame.
