Sold by The Endsleigh Fishing Club and Endsleigh Charitable Trust, Christie's house sale at Woburn Abbey, Bedfordshire 'Property from Two Ducal Collections', 21 September 2004, lot 873, when bought by the present owner.

Lot Essay

These tray-topped dumb-waiter stands, with Grecian reeded 'vase' pillars and scrolled 'claws' were designed en suite with the 'two top' waiter; and are inventoried in 1839 in the Dining Room as '2 Small Round Tables'.
