4° (191 x 128mm). Title printed in red and black with Petit device, criblé initials, one historiated, lombard initials, roman type, two words in Greek. (Very occasional small spot.) 17th-century mottled calf, gilt spine, red edges (spine restored at head and tail). Provenance: Du Bouquet, Minorite of Troyes (contemporary title inscription in red, "bu" a few times in text) -- ?17th-century inscription trimmed from top of title.
SECOND EDITION OF THE FIRST PRINTED BIBLIOGRAPHY, supplemented with additional entries. Among the authors newly listed are Matteo Bosso, Giorgio Merula, Filippo Beroaldo, Jacque Lefevre d'Etaples, Guillaume Budé, Matthew of York, et al. It includes the prefatory letter by Heynlin to Amerbach and Brant's verse praise of Tritheim, which had appeared in the first edition (Basel: Amerbach, 1494). RARE ON THE MARKET. Adams T-972.
