Lot Essay
This armchair was produced in a number of variations, and the present version has an aluminum seat as opposed to wooden slats. The 'Visiteur' armchair was popularized by the Belgian writer and illustrator Hergé who reproduced it in his 1960 comic-strip album Tintin in Tibet.
