NOTE:
Chen Zuren, also named Bingshu, was a native of Xincheng city in Jiangxi Province. Because Chen's grandfather was a Chief Officer in the Qing government's Military Department, he received a good education in his childhood. He studied calligraphy with Chen Sanli (1856-1937). Together with other two students of Chen, Yuan Siliang and Li Guosong, Chen Zuren was called the "Three Talents of Chen's School". He was proficient in poetry and calligraphy.
