The panel forming a pair with the previous lot, painted in the same elaborate manner, portraying Christ slightly turned to the direction of his Mother, his garments painted with the opposite colours of those of his Mother, seated on a similar opulent throne and cushions, blessing and bearing the open Gospels, the left folio inscribed with John 6:41 I am the living Bread which came down from Heaven, the right folio displaying John 8:12 I am the Light of the World, flanked by the same angelic figures as those in the previous lot, each bearing a scroll, executed delicately on a gold and blue ground, the latter simulating the veins of marble floor, signed as the lot 90
