Title and text in Italian, Dutch, French and German, engraved portrait of Alessandro Cardinal Farnese within architectural border, 42 full-page engraved illustrations (?lacking engraved frontispiece, lightly browned throughout, a few spots and some light staining, a few short marginal tears and nicks). Modern vellum, new endpapers. Provenance: old inscriptions on title and at end. Brunet V, 1219 (citing first edition of 1563); cf. Fowler 357 (citing first Blaeu edition of 1619).
