A limited edition published for presentation with, at the end of the justification du tirage, the words 'Exemplaire imprimé pour Florence Blumenthal'. INSCRIBED BY VALéRY TO THE AMERICAN PHILANTHROPIST FLORENCE BLUMENTHAL, 'Á Madame Florence Blumenthal avec mes souvenirs bien affectueux et tous mes voeux, Paul Valéry'. Florence Blumenthal, who has a street named after her in Paris, founded the 'Fondation américaine pour la pensée et l'art français' together with her husband George in 1913. The name is said to have been suggested by Valéry himself.
