signed, dated and inscribed 'A.Rodin © by Musée Rodin Paris 1960' (on the right side of the base); inscribed with the foundry mark 'Georges Rudier Fondeur Paris' (along the lower edge of the base); with the raised signature 'A.Rodin' (on the inside)

Conceived circa 1899; this bronze version cast in 1960 in an edition of 12
