Ce tableau représente Johann Maximilian IV, comte Preysing-Hohenaschau (1687-1764) et est une copie d'après l'original qui se trouve au Germanischen National Museum de Nüremberg. Une autre version de ce tableau se trouvait autrefois au Palais Neuhaus-Preysing de Munich (disparue, elle est remplacée aujourd'hui par une copie).
