Mark of Hendrik Smits, Amsterdam, 1801, also struck with retailer's mark Diemont
Shaped oval, on four tapering foliate feet with rosette finials, the openwork body with a lower band of swirling ovals, the mid band with slats and circles, applied overall with garland swags tied with ram's heads, two sides applied with a vase within a circle, with two drop ring handles with ram's head terminal, marked on base
