Tapering cylindrical, on moulded foot, the plain body with applied border, plain scroll handle, domed cover with foliage scroll thumbpiece, the reverse with inscription: 'E.F. BENSON 1915' and ROBERT HODGSON of HIGH CAYTON & NUNWICK married ELEANOR TAYLOR in 1736. Their daughter MARGARET (1750-1795) married CHRISTOPHER BENSON of YORK, & HAREFIELD, PATELEY BRIDGE: whose daughter, ELEANOR SARAH, married her first cousin, Captain WHITE BENSON. Their grandson was ARCHBISHOP BENSON' and two coat-of-arms, ' fully marked on cover and body
