THE FIRST CIRCA 1810, WITH CROWN, CROSSED BATONS AND D MARKS IN IRON-RED, THE GROUPS 19TH CENTURY
The tureen with two panels with pairs of vernacular birds perched on branches, flanked by richly gilt foliate ornamental motifs, the fluted handles ending in lion mascaroons, on four lion paw feet, the cover with arched handle (some rubbing to the gilt), 16.8 cm. wide, the groups: one modelled as a standing couple in fancy Italian dress, 31.5 cm. high, one as a hound flanked by dead fowl, 22 cm. high (some glaze flaking to enamels) (3)
