A waterline travel agents model of the Italian liner S.S. Conte Di Savoia
Attributed to Art Model Studios; circa 1938
the hull of the model built up from the solid and painted with a red waterline, white boot top, black and white topsides with drilled portholes and applied. The decks are painted tan and detailed with bollards, deck winches, ventilators, anchor windlass, forward cargo hatches, cargo booms, bridge and bridge wings, fore and aft masts, funnels painted in Italian Line livery, life boats on davits, pools and other details. Displayed on a mahogany board with a painted sea with bow and stern wakes.
