An early 20th century star sapphire and diamond ring
The central grey star sapphire within a single-cut diamond border, to a pierced gallery and single stone diamond shouders, circa 1900
Provenance
Given as an engagement ring by Fredrich von Keller, German consul of India (1905-1908), to his fiancé Irene von Landmann, in 1905.
According to Lady Curzon, Fredrich von Keller was renowned as "the best amateur pianist ever heard in India".

Special notice
