MARK OF ANTHONY NELME, LONDON, 1699,
Tapering sides with narrow applied girdle, engraved baroque armorial to front, Onslow scroll thumbpiece from which issues a rat-tail that extends to the centre point of the cover, the handle also with a rat-tail at top & a smaller, secondary rat-tail near bottom which terminates in an escutcheon, base inscribed with scratch-weight "43=10", 8 in. high (20 cm.), 42 oz.
