A LATE 19TH CENTURY GERMAN SILVER JARDINIERE,
HANAU, WITH ENGLISH IMPORT MARKS & SPONSOR'S MARK OF THOMAS GLASER, LONDON, 1892.
Boat-shaped with undulating rim with cast figures around the rim & cast figural feet, sides chased with flowers, diaperwork & rococo cartouches, an angel playing a lyre on one end, the opposite end with three putti playing with a ribbon, the sides with four satyrs, raised on four feet modelled as naked, bearded men with arms folded, supporting the bowl on their shoulders, 15½ in. high (39.5 cm.), 12¼ in. high (31 cm.), 135 oz.
