Lot Essay

This long dresser is of a type associated with the Welsh border county of Radnorshire and the adjoining county of Herefordshire, where dressers with drawers supported on straight or tapered legs were the common design. The prominent frieze below the cornice was also common to the Welsh borders and the West Midlands.
