A Chinese white and russet jade pebble snuff bottle, 18th 19th century
the well-hollowed bottle carved on one side with a carp emerging from swirling waves crashing on a rocky bank with grass and lingzhi fungus below a shrine in the distance, the stone of white tone with russet inclusions denoting the fish and fungus, with a tiger eye and ivory stopper -- the bottle 2¼in. (5.7cm.) high.
