Written for Poems of Geoffrey Chaucer modernised, published in 1841 and edited by R. H. Horne. Elizabeth Barrett Browning's contribution to the project initiated by Wordsworth was 'Queen Annelida and False Arcite', and the seventeen-stanza 'the Complaint of Annelida to False Arcite'. This draft shows the workings of EB, with considerable changes of mind and differences from the final published work.
