Decretum, with gloss, lower section of a leaf with an HISTORIATED INITIAL of a tonsured man, introducing Questio I of Causa XI in the second part, and BORDER DECORATION with a man shooting at a bird, each in a cartouche linked by a bar on which stand two birds either side of an interlace ornament on a ground of burnished gold, supporting a bare-legged man, [probably Bologna, c.1300], 263 x 176mm (some retouching to figures, text faded).
