KANDINSKY, Vasilii (1866-1944). Autograph letter signed to an unidentified professor, Murnau, Upper Bavaria, 19 August 1912, in German, expressing the most friendly sentiments after the receipient's recent visit ('Sie fühlen bestimmt, daß das keine leere Höflichkeitsaüßerungen sind'), hoping he has retrieved a mislaid fountain pen, and referring to their train journey back ('die armen Herren stehen jetzt auf und müßen 2½ Stunden in Bummelzug sitzen -- was alles meine Schuld ist'), 2 pages, 4to (small tear to right margin).
