The case in the form of a vase with cockerel handles and with laurel swag mounts to the plinth, its cover with beaded gallery mount and surmounted by the figure of a reclining putto indicating the time via a wand pointing to a silvered Roman hour chapter ring below, the pocket-watch type movement with circular plates joined by square section baluster pillars, chain and fusee with verge balance, well engraved pierced bridgecock and blued steel rack to top plate signed LAQUIER A GENÈVE
