The white marble drum-shaped case surmounted by a floral vase, ribbon tied garlands to either side, with beaded bezel to white enamel Roman and Arabic dial signed in red Hoguet/A PARIS, with pierced and chased ormolu hands, above a spiral-twisted stem issuing two acanthus and foliate cast arms terminating in eagle heads, on a moulded breakfront plinth with brass bun feet, the twin barrels movement with countwheel strike on bell, later Brocot-style suspension; pendulum
