The front with dished pen tray and with covered pots for ink and powder, the dial with plain gilt mask to white enamel Roman and Arabic chapter disc, signed on a plaque below Margaine/Paris, flanked by day of week and date discs, with thermometer mounted on a set square, a barometer inset into a wheel and a compass into a nut, the twin barrels movement with platform lever escapement and strike on gong
