AN ANTIQUE GOLD, RUBY, ENAMEL AND PEARL COIN PURSE
Designed as an expandable gold and pink cloth coin purse with blue enamel scrollwork, set with a multi-colored oval enamel plaque of a knight slaying a dragon, within a cabochon ruby and gold scrolling surround, topped by a carved lion's head, suspending a cabochon multi-gem, rose-cut diamond and pearl domed tassel, the reverse with etched scrolling design and initials 'VMD', to the oval-cut ruby and gold chain and ruby, blue enamel and gold cross, mounted in 18k gold, circa 1870, 6½ ins., with French assay marks and maker's mark
