Lot Essay

The above record was produced to celebrate the 1933 Davis Cup Final tie between France and Great Britain at Roland Garros. Great Britain won the tie 3-2, their first win since 1912, ending France's run of six consecutive titles. As a result, many records were probably destroyed in France where it was produced.
