produced by Equator, Paris, 1933, with printed export stamp, the 'A' side showing printed photographic scene of Roland Garros, the 'B' side with printed tondo photographic portraits of the French and British Davis Cup players, 8in. diameter.

Lot Essay

The above record was produced to celebrate the 1933 Davis Cup Final tie between France and Great Britain at Roland Garros. Great Britain won the tie 3-2, their first win since 1912, ending France's run of six consecutive titles. As a result, many records were probably destroyed in France where it was produced.
