A MEISSEN BLUE AND WHITE GOLD-GROUND TEABOWL AND SAUCER
CIRCA 1725-30, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS AND o MARKS WITHIN CONCENTRIC CIRCLES, PAINTER'S MARKS TO FOOTRIMS, DREHER'S X TO FOOTRIM OF SAUCER
Painted in underglaze blue with the Fels und Vogel pattern with a bird in flight and flowering prunus branches issuing from rockwork within egg and dart borders, enriched in gilding, probably in the Augsburg workshop of Bartholomäus Seuter (some slight wear to centre of saucer, teabowl interior and rims)
