CIRCA 1723-24, BLUE K.P.M. CROSSED SWORDS MARK, GILDER'S 40. TO BOTH
En suite to the preceding, of squat bombé form, painted by P.E. Schindler with two vignettes of Orientals on terraces, within similar elongated quatrefoil cartouches, the ends with indianische Blumen, below a gilt band border, the stepped domed cover with two chinoiserie vignettes flanking an octagonal gilt knop finial, within a band of iron-red scrolling foliage divided by flowerheads and a band of gilt Laub-und-Bandelwerk, gilt band rim (box with slight wear, wear to cartouches, very slight shallow chipping to two corners of footrim, cover with wear to gilt rim, slight wear to gilt border and finial)
