A Chinese silver repousse bowl, late 19th early 20th century
with deep rounded sides, supported on a splayed foot, decorated in repousse with panels enclosing a writhing dragon amidst cloud scrolls, a vacant shield shape cartouch framed by a scene of scholars playing weiqi in a garden, chrysanthemum sprays and birds perched on bamboo, YL and two character mark -- 5in. (12.7cm.) diam.
