Rounded rectangular, the base, sides and cover engine turned, with applied fire steel and match striker -- 2 in. (5 cm.); a combination vesta and wick holder, William Frederick Wright, London 1897; a Victorian rectangular vesta case, the back and front stamped with birds and putti amidst flowers and foliage, William Comyns, London 1891 -- 1 7/8 in. (4.7 cm.); a Victorian engine-turned rectangular vesta case of oval section, Brownett and Jones, London 1878 -- 1 7/8 in. (4.8 cm.); and two further vesta cases including one of fluted form, Birmingham 1855 and 1892 (6)
