A GERMAN VISORED SALLET, IN LATE 15TH CENTURY STYLE
19th Century
With tall rounded skull of one-piece construction cut straight across the brow for the face opening, arched over the neck, struck with spurious Nuremberg mark, fitted with pivoted visor of bellows form pierced with rows of circular and slotted breaths below a centrally divided sight, neck-guard of two articulations forming a residual tail, and the edges turned outwards throughout.
