A GERMAN REINFORCING BREAST-PLATE, WITH LATER ETCHED DECORATION IN THE 'PISAN' STYLE

Of burnished steel, for fitting over a peascod breast-plate, pierced with a series of holes for attachment bolts, two with raised lips attached from the inside, fitted with bracket for a lance-rest, (probably the original), decorated with bands of trophies, grotesques, animals and birds, and with bevelled edges.
