A GERMAN TWO-HAND SWORD, IN EARLY 17TH CENTURY STYLE
19th Century
With double-edged blade of flattened-hexagonal section widening toward a spear point, long leather-covered ricasso formed with lugs, iron hilt of flattened bars, incorporating symmetrical inner-and outer-ring guard enclosing a further horizontally flattened ring both front and rear, carrying a pair of arms in turn supporting a smaller double-ring formed from a single flat plate, long spatulate quillons, conical pommel, and leather-covered grip in 'aged' condition (binding missing).
