A GERMAN LANDSKNECHT DAGGER, IN 16TH CENTURY STYLE
19th Century
With tapering blade of triangular section struck with a mark at the forte on one side, iron hilt with short moulded knopped quillons, small side-ring, flat circular cap pommel engraved with a rosette, and wire-bound conical grip; in original iron sheath formed of two halves, applied with two groups of strongly moulded bands, leather belt-strap on a pair of loops at the rear, and with engraved by-knife and bodkin with bronze handles.
